Yesterday my kids and I went and picked up our new puppy. He had spent the morning getting checked out at the vet. He is healthy and started his shots.
This little precious was born without a leg. He is happy and mobile too. He even plays with our 6 year old boxer. Right now we are leaning on naming him Chase after my son's favorite Paw Patrol pup.
It was a total surprise to my kids that they were getting a pup. My son told the little pup when he first saw him "Don't worry puppy I take care of you." My heart almost broke in half. It was so sweet. Since it was a big surprise, the kids helped set up the puppy's things when we got home.
That night he slept most the night with our boxer. She didn't seem to mind it at all.
I seriously forgot how much sleep you miss with a new puppy. It's like have a newborn baby but worse. Lol. I'm just glad he made friends with our boxer who helped out a lot during the night. He really enjoys sleeping on his back too.
